Email & SMS Reminders Praxis Desk

offisy can automatically remind patients and customers about upcoming appointments by email or SMS. Here you set up when and how reminders are sent.

Where to find email & SMS reminders

Go to Settings → Patient / Customer management → Reminders.

Automatic reminders are only available if a notification gateway (email or SMS) is included in your license and configured in settings.

Enabling reminders

  1. Open the reminder settings.
  2. Enable the Appointment reminders active toggle.
  3. Select the channel: Email, SMS, or both.
  4. Click Save.

offisy now sends reminders automatically according to the configured schedule.

Configuring the reminder time

  1. Open the Time section.
  2. Enter how many hours or days before the appointment the reminder should be sent.
  3. You can combine multiple times — for example, 48 hours and again 2 hours before the appointment.
  4. Click Save.

Customizing the template text

You can personalize the reminder message text using placeholders.

  1. Open the Template section for the channel you want (email or SMS).
  2. Edit the subject line (email only) and the message text.
  3. Use the available placeholders (e.g. , ) to insert data automatically.
  4. Click Save.

Note: Changes to the template take effect immediately for all future reminders.
