Configure notifications Praxis Desk

Here you set how automatic appointment notifications by SMS and email look and when they're sent.

This article covers the underlying settings. Sending a single message manually from the customer list is covered in Send Notifications.

Where do I find the notification settings?

Open Settings → Messages.

This feature requires the Notifications module. If it's not active, the menu item doesn't appear.

Default salutation — salutation used as a placeholder in notification texts.
Warning enabled — turns on a warning when a configured threshold is exceeded.
Threshold — limit value for the warning.

Default channel for appointment and Default channel for appointment reminder — each set to Disabled, SMS, or Email.
Send on change, Send on deletion, Send on request — control which appointment events trigger an automatic notification.
Reminder minutes before start — lead time for the appointment reminder.
Show user and Show duration — control whether the user and appointment duration appear in the notification.

Reply-to — email address recipients' replies are sent to.
Logo and Logo height — logo shown in the email header.
Design color and Text color — styling of the email template.
Show price, Show location, Show service name — control which appointment details appear.
ICS description — text in the attached calendar entry.
Top text block and Bottom text block — frame text for all emails.
Custom text blocks per event: New appointment, Changed appointment, Canceled appointment, Reminder, Accepted appointment, Denied appointment, Attendee added, Attendee removed, Course reminder.
Practice contact details: Street, ZIP code, City, Country, Phone, Email, Website.

SMS limit — maximum number of SMS per period.
Sender — sender ID, maximum 11 characters.
Top text block and Bottom text block — frame text for all SMS.
Custom text blocks per event: New appointment, Accepted appointment, Denied appointment, Changed appointment, Canceled appointment, Reminder, Attendee added, Attendee removed.

Note: Sending SMS usually costs money and depends on your quota.
