Notes Praxis Desk

You can add internal notes to every record — as free-text fields directly in the record, or as a note entry through the entry panel.

Free-text note fields

Right below the record's entry panel, there are two freely writable note fields, each with its own Save button:

  • Patient
  • Additional note
Fig. 1The free-text note fields Patient and Additional note sit below the entry panel.

You can adjust the labels and the number of fields under Settings → Patient / Customer Management → Note fields.

Adding a note entry

For more detailed, versioned notes, use the Notiz tab in the record's entry panel — the same area used for anamnesis, findings, or therapy entries.

  1. Open the record you want in the patient list.
  2. Click the Notiz tab in the entry panel.
  3. If needed, turn on the Create a note for each individual line checkbox to save every line of your text as its own entry.
  4. Enter the text in the editor.
  5. Optionally select the treating provider.
  6. Check the date field and adjust it if needed.
  7. Click Save.

The entry then appears in the record's History tab, marked with the abbreviation Ntz.

There is no separate "Notes" tab with title, date, and assigned-person fields — the entry is limited to the editor text, the treating provider, and the date.

Pinning a note entry

Open the action menu for the entry you want in the History tab and select Pin to top of history. This action is available for all entry types, not just notes.

Editing or deleting a note entry

Open the action menu for the entry you want in the History tab and select Edit or Delete.
