Verify the Start Receipt Praxis Desk Kasse

After you register your cash register for the first time, you have to verify the start receipt to meet the legal requirements in Austria.

Prerequisites:

• The cash register is set up in offisy.
• The BMF receipt check app (BMF-Belegcheck) is installed on your smartphone.

How to proceed:

1. In offisy, go to the settings of your cash register.
2. Find the section for the Startbeleg (start receipt).
3. Click the green box to the right of the start receipt to download it.
4. Open the BMF-Belegcheck app on your smartphone.
5. Scan the QR code on the downloaded start receipt with the app.
6. Wait for the app to confirm.

Result: A green check mark or a success message in the app confirms that the start receipt was verified. Your register is now in proper operation.

TIP

Your tax advisor usually verifies the start receipt for you. You can simply email them the downloaded receipt.
