Move Appointments Praxis Desk
You move an appointment directly in the calendar using drag & drop – without opening the form.
Prerequisites
- You have the Manage appointments permission.
- You are using the day, 3-day, or week view (the month view does not support drag & drop).
How to do it
- Switch to the day, 3-day, or week view in the calendar.
- Click and hold the appointment in the time grid.
- Drag it to the new time slot or to a different column (practitioner, resource, or location).
- Release the mouse button – a confirmation dialog opens.
- Review the old and new time as well as any changed practitioner or location.
- Optionally enable Send notification to inform the customer about the change.
- Click Confirm.
Note: Click Edit in the confirmation dialog to open the full appointment form if you want to make additional changes.
Common issues
- Drag & drop does not work: Check whether you have the month view open. Switch to the day, 3-day, or week view.
- No confirmation dialog appears: Make sure you fully released the appointment. A very short drag without a target change may not trigger the dialog.
- Appointment cannot be moved: You need the Manage appointments permission. Contact your administrator.
