Offisy Connect Settings Praxis
Configure Offisy Connect on the practice computer through the Einstellungen (Settings) page.
Where do I find the settings?
Open the Einstellungen page in Offisy Connect on the practice computer. It's split into five tabs: Allgemein (General), Laboranfragen (Lab requests), Aufbewahrung (Retention), Diagnose (Diagnostics), and Zurücksetzen (Reset).
Requirements
- Active license for the Offisy Connect add-on.
- Offisy Connect is installed and connected to at least one account.
- You have access to the practice computer running Offisy Connect.
General
- Autostart beim Login (Autostart on login): Starts Offisy Connect automatically when you log in to the computer. This toggle isn't turned on automatically during installation — you switch it on by hand.
- Automatische Updates (Automatic updates): Determines whether Offisy Connect checks for updates itself and installs them. This pairs with the Update-Kanal (Update channel) setting below.
- Abrufintervall (Sekunden) (Poll interval): Determines how often Offisy Connect fetches new jobs from the cloud. The default is 30 seconds, adjustable between 15 and 120 seconds. A shorter interval gets new jobs to the device faster; a longer one reduces the number of polls.
- Update-Kanal: Choose between Stabil (Stable) and Beta. Only use Beta if Offisy Support recommended it to you.
- Nach Updates suchen (Check for updates): Checks for a new update immediately, regardless of the Automatische Updates setting.
Lab requests
- Ziel für Laboranfragen (target for lab requests): Determines which device Offisy Connect forwards lab requests from the customer record to. This setting applies per account. If no target is set, Offisy Connect can't deliver a lab request. For details on the process, see Send a Lab Request to a Device.
Retention
- Aufbewahrungsdauer erledigter Aufträge (Stunden) (Retention period for completed jobs): Determines how long completed jobs stay visible in the job history. The default is 24 hours.
- Aufbewahrungsdauer der Ergebnisse (Tage) (Retention period for results): Determines how long already uploaded results and their files stay in the local cache. The default is 30 days. Offisy Connect doesn't delete results that aren't assigned yet — they stay regardless of this period.
- Archiv (Archive): Before a lab request is cleaned up, Offisy Connect copies the export file delivered to the device into the
archivfolder in the installation's data directory, in a subfolder per day. This folder grows without limit and is only cleared on reset. Use Archiv öffnen (Open archive) to open it.
Diagnostics
- Diagnosedaten exportieren (Export diagnostic data): Creates an archive with logs and system information for Offisy Support. Click Exportieren (Export) in the Diagnosedaten exportieren section — Offisy Connect opens a save dialog, and you choose the location and file name yourself. For details, see Troubleshoot Offisy Connect.
- Fehlermeldungen an Offisy senden (Send error reports to Offisy): Controls whether Offisy Connect sends automatic error reports. This toggle is on by default. Turn it off and no report leaves the computer anymore.
- Ereignis-Log (Event log): Shows the latest Offisy Connect events below the two cards. The table has the columns Zeit (Time), Level, Account, Code, and Meldung (Message). The log refreshes every 5 seconds. Use the Account filter to show the events of one account, or choose Alle Accounts (All accounts) to show all of them.
Reset
Warning: Offisy Connect zurücksetzen (Reset Offisy Connect) deletes accounts, device configuration, the queue, and the cache of the entire installation.
Before resetting, the dialog shows how many open jobs and how many not-yet-uploaded results are affected. This deletes:
- accounts and tokens for this computer
- the device configuration
- the local queue
- the not-yet-uploaded results in the cache
- the archive of export files (see Archiv under Retention)
Not-yet-uploaded results can no longer be transferred afterward.
The devices' GDT directories — including their own archiv folder — the log files, and all data in Offisy stay in place. Connected devices also stay in Offisy — if you want to remove them there too, log out the affected accounts individually beforehand. Reconnecting creates a new connected device per account.
If you only want to remove a single account without affecting the rest of the installation, log that account out instead. For details, see Use Multiple Accounts.
