Connect Offisy Connect to Offisy Praxis

Connect the Offisy Connect app installed on the practice computer to your Offisy account. This guide walks you through both environments: Offisy Connect on the practice computer and Offisy in the browser.

Requirements

• The Offisy Connect add-on is included in your license.
• You have the Verbundene Geräte (Connected Devices) permission with Verwalten (Manage).
• Offisy Connect is installed on the practice computer.

How to do it

1. Open Offisy Connect on the practice computer. Without an existing connection, the app shows the Verbindung mit Offisy herstellen (Connect to Offisy) page with an Aktivierungscode (activation code).

2. Note the activation code or copy it using the copy icon next to it.

3. Switch to Offisy in the browser and open Einstellungen → Schnittstellen → Verbundene Geräte (Settings → Interfaces → Connected Devices).

4. Click Gerät verbinden (Connect Device).

5. Enter the activation code from Offisy Connect in the Verbindungscode (connection code) field and click Weiter (Next). The code has the format WXYZ-1234.

   If you click Im Browser öffnen (Open in browser) in Offisy Connect instead, steps 4 and 5 are skipped: Offisy opens the confirmation page directly with the code already filled in.

6. Review the Gewährte Berechtigungen (granted permissions), choose the Account, and optionally give the device a name. Without a name, the device is called Offisy Connect. Under Gültig bis (Valid until), you see how long the code is valid. Confirm with Verbinden (Connect). If you don't want to connect the device, click Ablehnen (Decline) — the device then gets no access.

7. If older connections for the same installation are still registered as offline, Offisy asks in the Aufräumen (Clean up) window whether you want to remove them. For each entry, you see whether its open jobs will be taken over automatically or will expire. All entries are preselected. Turn off the switch for entries you want to keep. Confirm with N Einträge entfernen (Remove N entries) or click Überspringen (Skip) to keep all of them.

8. Offisy Connect detects the confirmation on its own and switches to the overview — the app is now connected to the chosen account.

Common issues

• Code expired or entered incorrectly: Offisy shows "Der Code ist ungültig oder abgelaufen." (The code is invalid or has expired.) Restart the process in Offisy Connect using Erneut versuchen (Try again) and use the new code it shows.
• Section not visible: If Verbundene Geräte is missing from the settings, either the Offisy Connect add-on isn't included in your license, or you're missing the Verbundene Geräte permission with Anzeigen (View).
• "Sie haben keine Berechtigung, Geräte zu verbinden." (You don't have permission to connect devices.): You're missing the Verbundene Geräte permission with Verwalten (Manage).
• "Offisy-Connect-Geräte können nur von Mitgliedern der Firma verwaltet werden." (Offisy Connect devices can only be managed by members of the company.): You aren't set up as an employee in the selected account.
