Contents of the daily closing Praxis Desk Kasse
The printout and PDF of a daily closing always have the same layout: a header and several sections with tables. This article explains what each part shows.
Definition
A daily closing (Tagesabschluss) summarizes revenue and payments for a period. Preview, print, and PDF show the same content. Offisy generates it anew every time you open it, see What is the daily closing?.
Header
The header sits at the top of the first page:
- The title Tagesabschluss and the creation date.
- Left: company name, address, and VAT ID (UID).
- Right: Nummer (number), Von (from), Bis (to), and Ersteller (creator).
The tenant does not appear in the header.
Sections
Below the header, these sections follow in this order:
- Übersicht (overview) – only the Gesamt (total) row, with no single rows.
- Umsatz nach Steuersätzen (revenue by tax rate)
- Artikel (items)
- Waren (goods)
- Leistungen (services)
- Verkaufte Gutscheine (sold vouchers) – only with the Gutscheine add-on.
- Mitarbeiter (employees)
Every section ends with a Gesamt row.
Columns
All sections use the same columns. The first column names the row.

The payment method columns sit to the right of a divider line. You find the Gutscheine module under Coupons and the payment terminal module under Payment terminal.
Long sections
If a section has more than 50 rows, the printout shows only the Gesamt row. It then shows the note "Aufgrund der Länge des Reports wird nur die Gesamtsumme dargestellt." (Because of the report's length, only the total is shown.) This applies to each section on its own.
What is the daily closing used for?
You see at a glance how much revenue a period produced and how customers paid. The sections break revenue down by tax rate, item, goods, services, and employees.
Difference from monthly and annual receipts and the cash book
The daily closing is not an RKSV receipt. It carries no signature, and Offisy does not report it to FinanzOnline. The cash book is a separate page and is not part of the PDF. More in What is the daily closing?.
