Sell and charge coupons, edit them, and keep track of the remaining balance.

Where do I find coupon management?

Open Kasse and click Coupons.

Requirements

• The Coupons module. Without it, creating a coupon shows the message "You haven't purchased the Coupons module."
• The Gutschein permission with Anzeigen, Erstellen, and Bearbeiten

Coupon management requires the Coupons add-on for Praxis, Kasse, and Desk.

Filters

• Account — only visible with cooperations. Shows coupons from all accounts or a single account.
• Options — the Redeemed coupons checkbox shows coupons that are already fully redeemed. Confirm with the search button to reload the list.

Data table

The table is sorted by Created on in descending order and shows these columns:

• Coupon — formatted coupon number, with the card number underneath if one is set
• Customer/Patient — links to the customer record
• Purchase value — amount at time of sale
• Remaining value — balance left on the coupon
• Created on
• Type — single-purpose or multi-purpose coupon
• Account — only with cooperations

Row actions

Click the coupon number to edit the coupon.

Create a coupon

1. Click Create coupon in the top right.
2. Optionally assign the coupon to a customer using the customer search.
3. Enter the Coupon value. This field is required.
4. Optionally enter a Card number.
5. Click Save.

Before saving, the Coupon field shows a preliminary coupon number.

Once saved, the coupon becomes active and its remaining value equals the coupon value. The sale is charged immediately.

Edit a coupon

1. Click the coupon number in the data table.
2. Update the customer, coupon value, or card number.
3. Click Save.

The Remaining value is shown in the edit form but can't be changed here.

Redeem a coupon

You don't redeem a coupon in coupon management, but when creating an invoice.

1. In the invoice's payment screen, select Coupon as the payment method.
2. Search for the coupon and select it.
3. The invoice shows the remaining value after redeeming the coupon.

For a single-purpose coupon, a warning appears if the invoice contains multiple tax rates. A warning also appears if the coupon has no remaining value left.

If you redeem a coupon only partially, its remaining value decreases accordingly. Once the remaining value reaches 0, you can find the coupon using the Redeemed coupons filter.

Single-purpose and multi-purpose coupons

The type determines how the coupon is taxed. You set the default type for new coupons in the cash register settings under the Coupon tab. The number range and format are set there too.

Permissions

• Anzeigen — access the overview and data table
• Erstellen — create new coupons
• Bearbeiten — change existing coupons

Note: You can find a report of all coupons in the coupon report under Journaling. Coupon PDF design is handled through coupon templates in the webshop.
