Move Appointments Praxis Desk

You move an appointment directly in the calendar using drag & drop — without opening the form.

Prerequisites

• You have the Termine verwalten (manage appointments) permission.
• You are using a view with a time grid. The Monat and Liste views do not support drag & drop for appointments.

How to

1. Open the calendar in a view with a time grid, meaning not Monat (month) or Liste (list).

2. Click and hold the appointment in the time grid.

3. Drag it to the new time slot or to a different column (practitioner, resource, or location).

   Tip: If you hold the appointment over the ◀ or ▶ week navigation arrow while dragging, the calendar pages automatically. It does so immediately on the first hover, then about every 600 ms by one week. This lets you move the appointment to a week further away without releasing it.

4. Release the mouse button. The Termin verschieben (move appointment) dialog opens.

5. Check the data in the dialog:

   • On the left are the existing appointment data: Datum (date), Ende (end), Uhrzeit (time), Status, Leistung (service), Mitarbeiter (staff member), Standort (location), Preis (price), Verrechnung (billing), and Erstellt am (created on).
   • On the right, under Verschieben auf: (move to:), are the new Datum and Uhrzeit.

6. If the appointment is in the future, optionally enable the Benachrichtigung senden (send notification) toggle. Optionally add a Zus. Nachricht an den Patienten (additional message to the patient).

7. Under Versenden als: (send as:), choose whether the notification goes out by E-Mail (email) or SMS. If the appointment is in the past, the dialog tells you that no notification will be sent.

8. Confirm the question „Möchten Sie wirklich den Termin verschieben?" (Do you really want to move the appointment?) and click Speichern (save).

Note: Click Bearbeiten (edit) to open the full appointment form if you want to make additional changes. Click Schließen (close) to cancel.

Tip: You can also change the appointment duration. In steps 2 and 3, drag the top or bottom edge of the appointment instead of the whole appointment. From step 4 on, everything works the same. This does not work on touch devices. Very short appointments do not show the edges.

Common issues

• Drag & drop does not work: Check whether you have the Monat or Liste view open. Switch to a view with a time grid.
• No confirmation dialog appears: Make sure you fully released the appointment. A very short drag without a target change may not trigger the dialog.
• Appointment cannot be moved: You need the Termine verwalten permission. Contact your administrator.
