Create a resource Praxis Desk

Create a new bookable resource — for example a treatment room, a piece of equipment, or a booth. The resource is then immediately available when booking appointments.

This feature requires the Resources add-on for Praxis and Desk.

Where do I find Resources?

Open Settings → Calendar → Resources and switch to the Resources tab.

Prerequisites

  • The Resources add-on is activated.
  • You have the Manage resources permission.

Create a resource

  1. Click Add resource.
  2. Fill in the fields on the General tab:

Available priority levels:

  • Very Low – Booked last
  • Low
  • Medium
  • High
  • Very High – Booked first
  1. Click Add.

Note: The resource color is controlled by its category, not set directly on the resource itself.

Set availability

After creating the resource, switch to the Availability tab. Here you define on which weekdays and in which time slots the resource is bookable. You can enable individual days and adjust the times, or select the All day option. offisy only offers the resource for booking within these hours.

The Waiting room TV tab is for linking the resource to a waiting room display — this is covered in the Link rooms to the waiting room TV article.

Assign a resource to an appointment

When creating or editing an appointment you can assign a resource directly:

  1. Create or open an existing appointment in the calendar.
  2. Select the desired resource from the list in the Resource field.
  3. If the resource is already occupied at the chosen time, offisy shows a warning. In that case, choose a different resource or a different time slot.
  4. Click Save.

offisy automatically prevents double bookings — the resource is reserved for that time period and cannot be assigned to another appointment at the same time.
