Configure availability Praxis Desk
Define when patients and clients can book appointments online. Set your regular booking hours per day of the week and optionally add blocked periods for vacation, holidays, or other exceptions.
Prerequisites
- The Online Booking Calendar is set up and activated.
Set regular booking hours
Booking hours define on which days of the week and at which times appointments can be booked. Outside these hours, your booking page shows no available slots.
- Open Settings → Online Booking Calendar → Availability.
- Enable the desired days of the week using the respective toggle.
- Enter the from and to time for each active day.
- You can also define multiple time blocks per day, e.g. 08:00–12:00 and 14:00–17:00.
- Click Save.
Note: On disabled days of the week, no appointments can be booked, regardless of other settings.
Add blocked periods
Blocked periods override your regular booking hours for a specific time range. Use them for:
- Vacation: Block several weeks at once.
- Holidays: Block individual days.
- Events or training: Block specific hours or days.
How to:
- Open Settings → Online Booking Calendar → Blocked periods.
- Click Add blocked period.
- Select the start and end date. For a single hour, choose the same day and enter from/to times.
- Optionally enter a name (e.g. "Summer vacation", "Training Vienna"). The name is only visible internally.
- Click Save.
The blocked period is active immediately. During this time, no available slots are shown on your booking page and new bookings are not possible.
Note: Existing bookings within a blocked period are not automatically cancelled. Contact affected patients or clients directly.
