Benötigte Lizenz
This feature requires the Waiting Room TV add-on for Praxis.
Where do I find the Waiting Room TV?
Open Settings and select Waiting Room TV. The page is titled "Waiting Room TV" and lists all configured displays. If no display exists yet, you'll see the notice "No waiting room displays created yet".
Requirements
- The Waiting Room TV add-on is activated.
- You have the permission for Waiting Room TV settings.
Set up a display
- Click Add display.
- The "Create waiting room display" modal opens.
- Enter a clear name in the Name field, e.g. "TV entrance".
- Click Create.
The new display appears in the list. In the General tab you'll find the Public URL — you'll open this on the screen in your waiting area later.
Configure display content
In the General tab, under the Display section, use the toggles to control what information the display shows:
- Show name — first and last name of the called patient.
- Show number — patient number.
- Show room — room name the patient is directed to.
- Show floor — floor information for the room.
- Show practitioner — name of the treating practitioner.
- Show time — current time on the display.
- Play sound — a short sound when a new patient is called.
Enable only the toggles that make sense for your practice.
Customize the design
Switch to the Design tab. It contains two sections:
Font & color:
- Font — font used for all text on the display.
- Primary color — accent color for highlights.
- Background color — background color of the display.
- Text color — color for all text elements.
- Welcome text — short text shown during idle, e.g. "Welcome to our practice".
Logo:
Upload your practice logo here. It appears on the display.
Set up the slideshow
Switch to the Slideshow tab. Here you configure the image presentation for idle time.
- Upload your photos or graphics in the Images section and arrange them by drag-and-drop.
- In the Display duration section, set the Display duration per image (seconds) field.
The slideshow runs automatically whenever no patient is being called.
Open the display on a screen
Open the row menu for the display in the list. You have two options:
- Open display — opens the URL directly in the current browser.
- Copy URL — copies the public URL to your clipboard.
Open the URL in the browser on the TV or monitor in your waiting area. Run the browser in full-screen mode.
Note: The public URL is also visible in the General tab. You can copy or open it directly using the buttons there.
Regenerate the token
If you suspect the URL has been shared with the wrong people, you can renew the token.
- Open the row menu for the display and select Regenerate token.
- Confirm the notice: "Regenerating the token invalidates the old URL. You must open the TV with the new URL. Continue?"
- Click Regenerate.
The old URL stops working immediately. Open the new public URL on the screen in your waiting area.
