This feature requires the Waiting Room TV add-on for Praxis.
With the Waiting Room TV module you call patients in the waiting room via a screen. The screen shows the patient's name, the assigned room, and directions. When idle, it runs a slideshow with your own content.
What is the Waiting Room TV used for?
The Waiting Room TV lets you call patients discreetly and automatically — no need to call names at the door. Typical use cases:
- Patient call: Staff call patients directly from the appointment or patient context. The call appears instantly on the display.
- Room assignment: The called patient sees which room to go to and gets directions.
- Idle slideshow: When no call is active, the display shows your own content such as practice information or images.
- Multiple displays: Set up multiple TV displays and link each to specific rooms.
Prerequisites
- The Waiting Room TV add-on is included in your license.
- You have at least one resource of type Room set up.
