Adding a representative Praxis Desk

Mark a doctor as the representative for another doctor's treatment or appointment. This documents who actually performed the treatment.

Representative is part of the Praxis and Desk licenses (module Representative). It's also available as a standalone Desk add-on.

• Without the Representative module, neither the menu action in the appointment overview nor the notice in the patient record appears.
• You only see the notice in the patient record when you're logged in as a doctor.
• To select a representative, you need a cooperation with a company that also has the Representative module.

How to do it

In the patient record

1. Open the appointment or treatment of another doctor in the patient record.
2. If you're not the assigned provider of the appointment, a notice with the Take over representative button appears.
3. Click Take over representative. You're now entered as the representative for the treatment.
4. Click Remove representative to undo the entry.

In the appointment overview

1. Open the row menu of the appointment in the waiting room or appointment overview.
2. Click Select representative (or Edit representative if one is already set). The Representative dialog opens.
3. Under Representative, choose a doctor from your company or a cooperating practice. The assigned provider of the appointment isn't available for selection.
4. Confirm your choice. To remove the representative, clear the field and confirm again.

The Representative column in the appointment overview shows the assigned representative. Use the Representative: filter to show or hide appointments by representative. Save your selection with Save filter.

Common issues

• Dropdown is empty — there's no matching cooperation. The dialog shows a notice that no cooperation has the Representative module.
• Notice missing in the patient record — the notice only appears when you're not the assigned provider of the appointment and no representative is set yet.
