Creating a psychotherapy confirmation Praxis
The psychotherapy confirmation proves that a medical examination has taken place. Patients need it so their health insurance provider covers part of the cost for treatment with a freelance psychotherapist.
Where do I find the psychotherapy confirmation?
Open the patient record and go to the medical documents section. There you create a new psychotherapy confirmation or open an existing one.

- You need the Medizinische Dokumente: Psychotherapie-Bestätigung permission.
Note: Under Austrian regulations, patients must provide written proof of the medical examination before their second psychotherapy session per billing quarter.
Creating a psychotherapy confirmation
- In the medical documents section, click Create and select Psychotherapy Confirmation. The patient's data is pre-filled automatically.
- Check the examination date. It defaults to today, but you can change it.
- For Additional measures, choose whether additional measures are required or not required. You can also leave this field empty.
- Add notes if needed.
- Click Save.
The confirmation is saved in the patient record and then appears in the list of medical documents and in the patient's history.
Editing a confirmation
- Open the psychotherapy confirmation and click Edit.
- Update the fields and click Save.
When you edit the confirmation, offisy creates a new version. The previous version stays in the history.
Printing
Click Print in the psychotherapy confirmation to generate the PDF. When printing, you can choose a company-specific template. A with stamp variant is also available.
Other actions
- Duplicate — pre-fills the form for a new confirmation from an existing one.
- Pin — highlights the confirmation in the patient record.
- Link tasks — links the confirmation to one or more tasks.
- Delete — removes the confirmation.
