Create a backup Praxis Desk Kasse

Create a manual backup of your practice data — full or for a specific time period.

Prerequisites

  • You have the Create backup permission for the relevant company.

How to do it

  1. Open the Backup menu item.
  2. Click Create new backup.
  3. Choose the backup type:
    • Full (entire period): Exports all data from the beginning.
    • Incremental / Period: Exports only data from a specific time period. Select the desired date range.
  4. In the checkbox list, select the export types you want to back up (e.g. patients, appointments, invoices). All available types are selected by default.
    • Use Select all or Deselect all to control the entire list at once.
  5. Optional: Set a customer filter to export only the data of a specific customer.
  6. Optional: Enable Export history (incl. deleted data) to include previously deleted entries.
  7. Click Create.

Note: The export types available to you depend on the modules in your license. See Permissions and export types for the full list.

Common errors

  • No export type selected: You must select at least one export type before creating a backup.
  • No date range for incremental backup: For an incremental backup, start and end dates are required.
  • Button not visible: If you don't see Create new backup, you don't have the permission. Contact your administrator.
