Private Appointments: Visibility and Edit Permissions Praxis Desk
Control who can view, edit, or delete your private and blocking appointments in the calendar.
Where do I find the permissions for private appointments?
Open your own user profile and scroll to the Private Appointments — Permissions section.
Note: This section is only visible in the new calendar. It does not appear in the classic calendar.
Available actions and modes
For each of the three actions — Read, Edit, and Delete — you choose a mode:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Read | Who can see your private or blocking appointments in the calendar? |
| Edit | Who can change the content and time of your private appointments? |
| Delete | Who can remove your private appointments? |
Each action has three modes to choose from:
- All — every user in the practice has access
- Nobody — no other user has access
- Specific users — only the users you select have access
Selecting specific users
When you choose the Specific users mode, a selection list appears with all users in the practice.
- Click the input field and type the name of the user you want to add.
- Select the user from the list.
- Repeat for additional users.
Note: For the Read mode, offisy automatically adds certain base users. These users always have read access regardless of your selection and cannot be removed.
How the settings take effect
The permissions apply to all your private appointments and blocking appointments in the calendar.
- Other practitioners can only see your private appointments if they have read access.
- Without read access, the time slot appears as blocked in the calendar without any details.
- Editing and deleting are only possible if the user also has read access.
Note: These settings only apply to your own profile. Administrators can adjust the permissions of other users in their respective profiles.
